Paul Fischer
Paul Fischer is an author and film producer based in the United Kingdom. His first book, A Kim Jong-Il Production, has been translated into sixteen languages. It was praised by Bob Odenkirk and the writing staff of The Simpsons and was nominated for the Crime Writers' Association's Non-Fiction Book Award, as well as chosen as one of the Best Books of 2015 by NPR and the Library Journal. Paul’s second book, The Man Who Invented Motion Pictures, was published to critical acclaim and was chosen by the New York Times as one of the Best True Crime Books of 2022.
Paul has also written for the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, the Independent, Bright Wall / Dark Room, and the Narwhal, among others, about everything from North Korean refugees to the British Columbia craft beer industry.
