Joe Tone
Joe Tone is an editor at The Washington Post, where he oversees a team of sports reporters who produce investigative reporting, narrative storytelling and other enterprise work. He joined The Post in 2019. He previously served as the deputy Washington bureau chief of VICE News. Before that, he spent a decade as a reporter and editor in alternative weekly newspapers, producing award-winning narrative and accountability journalism across a variety of subjects, including sports, politics, immigration and the environment. His writing has appeared in The Post, the Washingtonian, Amazon Original Stories, Deadspin and elsewhere.
Bones: Brothers, Horses, Cartels, and the Borderland Dream, is his first book.
