Sarah Smith is a writer from Glasgow. In 2018, she completed an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow and went on to gain a Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award in 2019. She has experience of working with the Deaf community, including most recently at Deaf Connections in Glasgow, where she first came across the remarkable story of Jean Campbell and Robert Kinniburgh that would go on to inspire her debut novel Hear No Evil published by Two Roads in 2022. Hear No Evil was shortlisted for the Bloody Scotland Debut Prize, the Historical Writers Association Debut Crown, longlisted for the CWA Historical Dagger and selected as a Waterstones Scottish Book of the Month.
